Remember when Taylor Swift danced awkwardly at the 2014 Grammy's to Kendrick Lamar's "M.A.A. D City"/ "Radioactive" mash-up performance with Imagine Dragons? Well she has now revealed that she is a big fan of the Compton rapper, and even uses his music to help her distress.
In her new Rolling Stone (via MTV) cover story, the pop star walked around Central Park and was swarmed by fans but barely reacted.
"You want to know a trick to immediately go from feeling victimized to feeling awesome?" Swift told them before revealing that Kendrick Lamar's "Backseat Freestyle" is her preferred method of relaxation. "This is my go-to," she added. "I know every word."
We'd love to see her do it! Plus, she has rapped a bit before. Remember her "Thug Story" collaboration with T-Pain? Or when she covered "Lose Yourself?" Or her latest attempt in "Shake It Off" when she semi-raps, "My ex man brought his new girlfriend /She's like, 'Oh my God' / But I'm just gonna shake / And to the fella over there with the hella good hair / Won't you come on over, baby? / We could shake, shake."
Who knows, maybe there will be a Kendrick Lamar/T-Swizzle collaboration in the future. But for now, you can read the full interview here, where she also talks about having “bad blood” with another female pop star.
