In her song "King of Everything," Madison Beer addresses misogyny, focusing on "men in positions of power that I feel have maybe abused their power."

The 24-year-old pop singer revealed the source of inspiration for many of the lyrics of her second studio album, "Silence Between Songs," which was released in September.

She said that to be honest, that song touches on a few topics. In her interview with NME, she said she had relationships with numerous men in positions of authority who, in her opinion, have either misused or performed poorly with that authority.

She said she struggled to put her experiences with these men into words.

Beer also pointed out that the song depicted the lonely life that many people who had great fame or money experienced.

She expained, "Growing up around so many successful businessmen and big celebrities and billionaire managers and seeing how, like, truly lonely a lot of those people were. How you could have all the success and money and whatever in the world, but if you're a miserable person, you're gonna be miserable no matter what.

"It was pretty eye-opening to me and something I always recognised," she added.

"So yeah, in the least harsh way possible, we wrote 'King Of Everything' [about all of that]," she concluded.

Beer has previously denounced the patriarchal music industry atmosphere and commended fellow musician Billie Eilish for bringing attention to her personal issues through her music.

She said at the time, "I think the topics [Billie] touches on in her music are so prolific.

"She speaks about things that a lot of other artists don't and are maybe afraid to, which is valid because we've all been conditioned to be afraid of speaking about certain things."

Madison Beer is brave against abusive men as she was with trolls who bodyshamed her. The "Dangerous" singer received severe body shaming after sharing an Instagram picture of herself wearing a white babydoll dress.

A male follower commented lewdly, saying her arms and legs are seriously getting fatter and she needs to get cardio because men only like skinny girls.

Beer, 24, chose to respond to their criticism because he didn't have time, as he had only titled the photo "lazing on a sunday afternoon." Beer responded, "I wouldn't touch you with a 10 ten foot pole if you paid me a million dollars," as seen in a screenshot collected by PopBase.

Though the comment has since vanished, supporters of Beer have not stopped defending her.
