Oasis Share Live Version Of 'Acquiesce' To Be Included In Upcoming Reissue

As fans anxiously await the reissue of Oasis' 1995 classic (What's The Story) Morning Glory?, hopefully this live take of "Acquiesce" on the B-Side will hold them over.

The amped-up version has brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher sharing singing duties at London's Earl Court Arena in 1995. According to NME, the song is one small bonus for the special reissue due out Sept. 29. The album, which features superhits like "Wonderwall" and "Champagne Supernova," has been completely remastered and will feature a double vinyl LP of the original, a triple CD set, and a coffee table book filled with unseen photos of the band.

"Step Out," a track that didn't make the cut, will be included in the package as a promo cassette, as well as other vinyl cuts.

It may come as no surprise that the brothers have differing opinions about the reissue. As Rolling Stone reported this summer, Liam wasn't happy about the reissue for the band's debut Definitely, Maybe. "HOW CAN YOU REMASTER SOMETHING THAT'S ALREADY [BEEN] MASTERED," he tweeted. "DONT BUY INTO IT. LET IT BE."

Noel, on the other hand, was slightly more cheery about the idea. "I'm proud of everything that we ever did," he told RS. "I mean, some songs are pretty sh*t, and there's a couple of periods you'd rather forget, but I think on the whole... I think we made three great albums and four good ones, which is not bad out of eight. Kind of a 50 percent record. That's pretty good, I think."

To add to the infamous feud, Liam completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge last month and nominated his brother, among others. "I accept this challenge and nominate Spongebob Squarepants, Ivor the Engine, and while we're on cartoon characters, Noel Gallagher," he said.
