Aside from musicians dropping Christmas music from left to right during the holiday season, some of them loves covering classics and even newer ones. More recently, Kelly Clarkson covered one of Cher's new songs and the pop star approved of her rendition.

According to OK! Magazine, the "American Idol" winner performed on her program "The Kelly Clarkson Show" where she belted out Cher's latest holiday track titled "DJ Play a Christmas Song" and she got the approval from the original singer herself.

Taking to her official X account, formerly known as Twitter, Cher shared her sentiments over the cover as she wrote, "KELLY,,,,U ACED IT U GOT THE GIRL.VERSION OF MY VOICE BABE,I AM OUT OF MY MIND OVER UR VERSION..

The pop legend didn't stop there as she added, "THE MODULATION GAVE ME ...I DONT KNOW, I JUST LOST MY MIND SISTER U GOT IT."

As of this writing, Kelly Clarkson has yet to react to Cher's online post.

Cher Doesn't Like Her Voice Despite Being a Legendary Singer

The reason why she considered Clarkson's voice as the "girl version" of hers was because she told Paper Magazine in a previous interview that she never liked her voice.

"It doesn't sound like a man, it doesn't sound like a woman. I'm somewhere more in-between," she told the publication.

She further explained that she considers her way of singing as a "strange style" because she couldn't hold a note and she doesn't pronounce her Rs.

Cher is Proud of Her Christmas Album

Back in September, a month before her Christmas album came out, the musician teased her fans, saying she was proud of her holiday project as it was a "Cher Christmas album," not just any regular Christmas records. (via Attitude)

She was excited as there were duets who appeared on the tracklist and it was also surprising because she "never had duets" and never got the chance to work with that much of people in a project.

Her album was produced by her boyfriend, Alexander Edwards, and it featured artists like Stevie Wonder, Tyga, Michael Bublé, Darlene Love, and Cyndi Lauper.

Cher's album titled "Christmas" is now available for streaming on major music platforms online like Spotify and Apple Music.
