After a 15-year-long wait, RBD is wrapping up their much-anticipated reunion tour on Thursday (Dec. 21), a musical journey that took the iconic Mexican pop group across stadiums and arenas in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and the United States for an impressive 50+ dates. The Soy Rebelde Tour turned out to be a surprising success, leaving both fans and the band members themselves in awe as they discovered the profound impact their music still holds for millions of people.

For RBD member Maite Perroni, the experience has been nothing short of beautiful. In an exclusive chat with Billboard Español, she shared, "Now we see children who get excited and sing, who are the children of our fans. They make their parents come to the concerts because they want to be part of that history." It's a heartwarming testament to the timeless appeal of RBD's music.

As the tour's final notes resonate, Perroni and Christopher von Uckermann, who kicked off the journey in August in El Paso, Texas, are gearing up for a grand finale at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. This iconic venue, known for hosting legends like Vicente Fernández, Madonna, and U2, will be the stage for the concluding act of RBD's triumphant return, with over 80,000 fans expected to fill the stands.

The success of the Soy Rebelde Tour is evident in its numbers. According to promoter Ocesa, the group filled the Foro Sol for six nights starting November 30, drawing a massive crowd of 390,000 fans. This tour, produced by Live Nation and T6H Entertainment, secured its place as the second most lucrative tour by any Latin artist in 2023, trailing only behind Karol G's Mañana Será Bonito. Not bad for a comeback!

What makes this reunion even more significant is the timing. In an era dominated by reggaeton and regional Mexican music on streaming platforms, RBD's impact is a testament to the enduring love for their sound. The group's return has not only treated fans to a nostalgic trip down memory lane but has also introduced their iconic music to a new generation.
