Until her new song is ready, Rihanna won't embark on a full tour.
After releasing her 2016 album "Anti" and going on tour, the singer took a few years off from performing.
However, she has since returned to the spotlight, performing at the Super Bowl halftime show earlier this year and releasing a new song called 'Lift Me Up' from the "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" soundtrack.
Rihanna, however, is adamant that she won't go on the road again until her next record is completed.
She told Access Hollywood, "Well we're always gonna go back on tour. [But] I feel I want to do a tour when there's new music. We already know what that's gonna be, with the songs that I've performed on my last tour. That was a long time ago. "I feel like it's only fair that my fans get what they've been waiting on, which is new music. After that, lets just like, blow everything up."
Rihanna has acknowledged that her efforts to make the album "perfect" have caused delays as she has been working on it for the past few years.
She added: "I realised that if I keep waiting until this feels right and perfect and better, maybe it's going to keep taking forever and maybe it'll never come out and no, I'm not down to that. "So I want to play. And by play, I mean I have my ideas in my head, but I can't say them out loud yet."
According to earlier rumors, Rihanna wants the album out in 2024 so that she can start touring in 2025, although she has insisted that she is unaware of any potential release dates. She clarified, saying, "They [the fans] are waiting," during an interview on "Good Morning America."
"They [the fans] are waiting. I'm excited to actually put new music out but I don't have any updates for you on that yet."
Thanks to her two enterprises, Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty, Rihanna became a millionaire since the release of her previous album, "Anti" in 2016.
According to a story published by Entertainment Tonight, Rihanna has a deal with Live Nation and intends to return to music in 2024. It was revealed to the site that she is planning a world tour for 2024-2025 in addition to releasing new music.
Although the precise timetable was not given, the music is finally on the way. After all, she also went on her way to become a mom of 2 so it's hard to confirm anything yet.
The tour claim was refuted by Billboard shortly after that article was released. Reports that Rihanna has a multi-year contract with Live Nation are "bogus," a "high level" source told Billboard, adding that "no tour has been confirmed for Rihanna." However, the report that Rihanna intends to release new songs in 2024 was not refuted by the outlet.
