The untimely death of their sister Bobbie Jean Carter at the age of 41 is shocking everyone. Tragedy has befallen the family of Nick and Aaron Carter once more.
Although the reason of her death is unknown, TMZ reports that her body was discovered early on Saturday in her Florida home.
Bobbie Jean Real Cause of Death
While the cause of death is yet to be determined, there are now speculations that it could also be drug-related, leading to a cardiac arrest.
PEOPLE magazine has learned from sources close to the Carters that Bobbie Jean's family believes she died from cardiac arrest, but further information about what exactly happened before her death is still unknown.
Bobbie Jean, also referred to as BJ by her relatives, is the third Carter sibling to pass away prematurely. On November 5, 2022, Aaron passed away. He was 34 years old.

It was concluded that he had taken the generic form of Xanax, alprazolam, and inhaled difluoroethane, which resulted in drowning. Leslie Carter passed away at the age of 25 in 2012, ten years earlier, as a result of a hazardous mix of prescription drugs.
Bobbie Jean Substance Abuse
Throughout her life, Bobbie Jean struggled with substance abuse and addiction. She also had a history of arrests, one of which occurred just earlier this year.
She was apprehended and charged with possessing fentanyl in June after it was discovered that she had stolen $55 worth of crafts from a Florida Hobby Lobby.
She froze, reaching into her purse and tossing a light blue bottle beneath the desk as she was led into the craft store's office so management could call the police.
"House of Carters," an E! reality TV series, starred Bobbie Jean. She was in all eight of the show's episodes, which followed Nick Carter and his four full siblings while they recorded the band's sixth studio album, "Unbreakable", with the Backstreet Boys.
The siblings in the show made an effort to reunite as a family and revitalize their careers. After the show's one-season run in 2006, Bobbie Jean has stayed out of the spotlight.
Her death marks the latest tragedy for the Carter family, who have dealth with financial woes, marital issues and divorce as well as addiction problems over the years. While the matriarch of the family has already releaed a statement to express her confusion and grief, Nick Carter is yet to. At this time however, it is best to give the family the privacy they deserve.
