Ted Nugent, a rock musician, is one of the people who don't enjoy Taylor Swift's music, even after her record-breaking year. Thing is, he does not also like to contain his opinions, prompting the hatred of Swifties to be directed at him.

Nugent recently described the music made by Time's Person of the Year 2023 with some colorful words during an interview on The Joe Pags Show podcast. He's just not impressed, obviously.

"So I'm afraid to say in this world that's gone down the toilet in all aspects, I'm afraid the success of Taylor Swift-and again, God bless her work ethic, God bless her musical dreams-but that's cartoon music," Nugent said.

He explained, "I mean, it doesn't have any piss and vinegar. There's no fire, there's no sensuality in that. It's all poppy nonsense as far as I'm concerned. And it's the most popular stuff in the world which is an indictment to the music industry and music fans."

Nugent added that music listeners simply aren't "looking for that fire from a ZZ Top or from a Mitch Ryder in the Detroit Wheels, or from a Brownsville Station or an Amboy Dukes. And I miss that."

Swifties, of course, were not going to stand by and let the shade go.

"Taylor Swift is a billionaire who created her own economy," exclaimed one X user. Playing in chili cook-offs is Ted Nugent.

Another person expressed a similar opinion, stating, "To put this in perspective: Ted Nugent, 75, has a $10 million fortune. Taylor Swift, 34, has a $1.1 billion fortune. Mic drop and move on."

And another X user said, 'Wait? Is he, or has he ever sold out even one stadium show? Did I miss something? And in the meantime, there was another who growled, "We were all waiting to hear the opinion of this mediocre man."

Swifties are not wrong.

According to Bloomberg, Swift passes Billionaire status in an era where artists are losing millions. In a time when "artists have lost millions" as a result of new technology, Taylor Swift has been able to "monetize her talent".

Swift's net worth crossed $1 billion in October because to the Eras Tour and her newly remastered albums, which brought her total to $1.1 billion.

According to the site, the singer-songwriter of "1989" is among the few musicians to accomplish this financial milestone only through music releases and live appearances.

Taylor is in a unique situation when it comes to making money off of her skill.

She's truly riding the tech wave, rather than going out with the digital tide, in a time when artists have lost millions of dollars due to the shift from album sales to digital downloads.
