The trailer for Jennifer Lopez's new thriller The Boy Next Door has been unveiled and sees the "Booty" singer as an emotionally vulnerable, recently separated cougar who has a steamy night with an attractive, high-school-aged boy next door named Noah, who is friends with her son and a new student at the school where she teaches.
Lopez realizes her mistake and tries cutting things off, but unfortunately for her, Noah is a persistent sociopath who stalks her and threatens her by posting photos of their affair around the school.
She spoke briefly about her role during an interview with Meredith Vieira saying, "I play a teacher who is separated from her husband and going through a divorce and the boy next door and her get into a thing...That was a fun movie to make. It's intense."
The Boy Next Door is due out January 15, 2015 and also stars Ryan Guzman, John Corbett and Kristin Chenoweth. It is one of three films Lopez is set to release next year including Home and Lila & Eve.
The singer/actress released her eighth studio album A.K.A. back in June which featured collaborations with French Montana, T.I., Iggy Azalea, Rick Ross, Nas, and Tyga.
