Tony Romo Called Taylor Swift Travis Kelce's Wife Again
After retiring as the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Tony Romo became an analyst and sports commentator for CBS.
In the recent Christmas broadcast, Romo has yet again mistakenly referred to Taylor Swift as Travis Kelce's wife.
According to Forbes, Romo was describing Kelce's 900th career reception, and just as the cameras panned to Swift's cheer on Kelce, he had this to say: "And his wife loves it, I mean, girlfriend."
Many were unsure whether Romo unintentionally did it again or if he purposely did it to attract more attention as he did two weeks ago, earning the irk of Swifties worldwide.
Jim Nantz laughed at it, telling Romo "You've been down that road with that before."
Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Secretly Married?
On this recent Christmas mix-up, Swifties online began speculating jokingly, asking Romo if he knows something the dedicated fanbase doesn't know.
"Tony Romo called Taylor Swift the wife of Kelce again. What does he know that we don't?" a user tweeted.
"Tony Romo can't stop calling Taylor Swift Travis Kelce's wife," another commented.
"Tony romo gotta be manifesting something based on how many times he's referred to Taylor swift as Travis kelce's wife," a fan chimed in.
While others saw the fun of it, many seemed to be noticing a pattern.
"i have a strong feeling that the ~taylor swift bump~ to travis kelce's stats that fans and the media have been celebrating will immediately turn into a tony romo/jessica simpson/cowboys situation the minute that kansas city starts making mistakes," a user pointed out.
Infamously, Romo and Jessica Simpson made headlines when they became a thing of the past, making it one of the biggest Entertainment and Sports partnerships at the time - similar to Kelce and Swift's romance today, although Swift is much more important than Simpson.
As mentioned, this was not the first time that Romo "mistakenly" called Swift Kelce's wife.
"As you see, Kelce's wife, Taylor Swift, in the audience," Romo told the crowd before correcting himself, "Er, I'm sorry. Girlfriend!"
