Barbra is posing without pants on the front cover of a magazine - and she does not care about what people think of it!
Barbra Streisand talked candidly with the New York Times on Monday about her new memoir, "My Name Is Barbra," explaining why she chose to emphasize fashion so much in the book and how it liberates her to be 81 years old and not give a damn about what other people think of her appearance.
The "Funny Girl" actress expressed her belief that "people should express themselves and wear whatever they feel on any given day" in the interview. Furthermore, age has no bearing on that.
Alec Baldwin recently dubbed Streisand "the hottest woman ever."
She explained that in the early years of her career, she was cautious not to dress sensually because "I was too afraid to be seen that way at that time. Now I'm too old to care."
Actually, Streisand came up with the concept to appear on the cover of W magazine in 2016 with "just legs" instead of pants.
The "Yentl" actress shared that she has never "just went with the style of the day," even though it's possible that she wasn't dressing in an overtly risqué manner in the 1960s and 1970s. "I was thinking of other pictures.
Streisand stated, "I was inspired by period pieces, paintings in museums, and those amazing Mucha posters of Sarah Bernhardt that I saw for the first time when I was a teenager."
She created her own costumes for her debut appearances at piano bars in New York City, such as "a long-sleeved Persian vest from the turn of the century," with a high neck.

"I didn't relate to the conventional kind of gown most nightclub singers wore," she said.
The singer of "Way We Were" has also stayed loyal to herself despite the fact that her style has changed with time. She even wore items from her own closet in movies like "The Prince of Tides."
Ultimately, Streisand stated that a woman's clothing choice shouldn't influence her perception by others. "Like I wrote in my book, 'Why can't women be accomplished and attractive, strong and sensitive, intelligent and sensual?'" she shared.
With her biography "My Name is Barbra," named after her 1965 album of the same name, the superstar is now reflecting on her career. It will be released on November 7. After over 40 years of postponement, Streisand finally embarked on the eagerly anticipated project. She has amassed a sizable global following and sold more than 150 million records globally, according to Sony Music UK.
