Most of the time in rap songs, listeners cannot understand what rappers are saying because of two things - they are rapping so fast or they cannot enunciate the words clearly.
While SZA is clearly not a rapper, the fast beat and tempo of "Rich Baby Daddy" seemed to have dictated how fast she should sing her verse opposite to Drake and Sexyy Red, prompting her to compromise the enunciation.
This caused fans confusion as they couldn't understand what SZA was singing on her part of the song.
Now, the Grammy-winning singer clarifies the real "Rich Baby Daddy" lyrics, specifically what she was singing about.
'Rich Baby Daddy' Lyrics: SZA's Verse
According to an Instagram story, SZA shared that she was sick with a fever and couldn't breathe when she recorded "Rich Baby Daddy." (via Complex)
Apparently, SZA told Drake that no one would understand her when she sang her "Rich Baby Daddy" verse, even describing herself that she sounded "crazy."
"He said noooo ur fine anyways here's the lyrics to RBD once n for all," she confessed.
While the lyrics are already available online and on streaming platforms, SZA had to really post the lyrics on her Instagram so that people could finally get the peace of mind they're trying so hard to get on her "Rich Baby Daddy" verse.
"Your man so good and you deserve that in your suffering
I need a dick and conversation, can you cover me?
I got a feeling this is more than what we both say
I got a feeling this is more than a feeling
I can't let you get away
Feels good, but it can't be love
Ain't a damn thing that I do
Ain't a damn thing, oh"
