Mary J. Blige ends 2023 with a new No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart on Billboard.
This is her eight now.
The song "Still Believe in Love," starring Vado, is at the top of the list as of December 30.
The year's last winner moves up from the runner-up position and, according to Luminate, was the most-played song on adult R&B radio stations in the United States during the week that ended on December 21.
Despite having about the same amount of plays as the previous week, "Still Believe in Love" is at the top of the list.
Usher, Summer Walker, and 21 Savage's "Good Good," which was last week's top song, drops to No. 3 after receiving 5% less plays over the tracking week.
The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul wins her eighth career title in Adult R&B Airplay thanks to "Still Believe in Love" while breaking out of tying with H.E.R. to become the only female artist with the third-most No. 1s in the 30-year history of the chart.
With 14, Alicia Keys is first on the scoreboard, followed by Toni Braxton with 11.

On the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, which ranks songs based on the combined audience totals from adult R&B and mainstream R&B/hip-hop radio stations, "Still Believe in Love" repeats at its best position of No. 14.
The song gained 2% in weekly viewers despite the stagnant rank, reaching 6.6 million in the most recent tracking week.
She has produced over 80 hits in her discography since being discovered in 1989.
The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul and R&B has created music with these songs that has assisted people in overcoming obstacles, finding joy, and healing from heartbreaks.
But even though Blige's music was improving people's lives, her own life was spiraling worse. She came dangerously close to ending her life on this path, but finishing this one record kept her alive.
