Perhaps the most notable part of the 122-date tour was that the concert tour was the band's dedication to reducing their carbon footprint. Several environmental initiatives were undertaken that gained the support of several critics and environmentalists.

U2: 360° Tour

Held from 2009 to 2011, U2's 360° Tour is the highest-grossing rock concert tour of all time to date. The 110-date tour ran across North America, Europe, Africa, and South America. To date, it is also the second most-attended concert tour in history with $7.2 million tickets sold.

It was apparently the first concert tour that "a band has toured in stadiums with such a unique and original structure.

To date, it is the most attended concert tour of all time with 8.8 million tickets sold. At one point, it was the highest-grossing concert tour of all time in 2019.

Elton John: Farewell Yellow Brick Road

Just this 2023, Elton John's final world tour, named "Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour" was the highest-grossing concert tour of all time in music history.

The tour spanned 330 shows including two festival shows, one of which was the UK's Glastonbury Festival. It's also the 6th most attended concert tour of all time with 6 million tickets sold.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour

Taylor Swift's "The Eras" Tour is the biggest concert tour to date of all time. The global superstar shattered multiple records in the United States and South America - a testament to Swift's international impact.

Although Swift's team hasn't officially released the numbers for their tour, Pollstar and several publications declared Swift as the first artist to breach the $1 million concert tour threshold.
