Taylor Swift is starting the year by cementing herself as the top solo artist to spend the most weeks on the Billboard 200 chart.
With "1989 (Taylor's Version)" holding its spot at the No. 1 spot, this officially lands Taylor Swift's 68th week atop.

According to Luminate, "1989 (Taylor's Version)," on its fifth nonconsecutive week at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, with 98,000 album-equivalent units. (via Billboard)
The publication also reported that the album's total weeks at the top now equals the combined weeks at No. 1 of all of Taylor Swift's previous re-recorded albums - "Fearless (2)," "Red (1)," and "Speak Now (2)" - making it the longest running Taylor Swift re-recorded album at the No. 1 spot of the Billboard 200 chart.
In total, Swift has spent 68 weeks at the top, surpassing the late King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley for being the soloist with most weeks spent at No. 1.
Presley logged 67 weeks at No. 1 across his 10 albums from 1956 until 2002. Swift, on the other hand, surpassed it with 68 weeks. If she continues to hold the spot, she can widen the gap further, not that Presley could overtake her, as an Elvis Presley posthumous album is in the works.
Swift has a long way to go before she can actually be at the top of all acts. As of this writing, The Beatles is still the No. 1 music act who has spent the most weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 chart with a staggering 132 weeks. Swift is the longest-running soloist, while The Beatles is the longest-running group and music act.
Swift would have to at least double her current number to surpass what The Beatles have done with their 19 No. 1 albums.

Mariah Carey's "Merry Christmas" also climbed to No. 8 while Taylor Swift's "Midnights" dropped to No. 9, Pentatonix's "The Greatest Christmas Hits," made a huge 50-spot leap from No. 60 to No. 10 this week.
