Kelly Clarkson has paid her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock her last $115,000 in spousal support.

Kelly feels relieved that she is no longer supporting Brandon as her spouse, an insider told US Weekly.

The source added that the singer has been anticipating this for a while and is overjoyed that her payments to Brandon will now be settled. It's really comforting to know that the new year will bring an end to this chapter of her life.

"Kelly's looking at this as a fresh start and she couldn't be happier for a clean slate in 2024," the insider continued. When the pop artist filed for divorce from 47-year-old Blackstock in June 2020, the two had been married for over seven years, having first connected in 2006.

After their divorce was finalized in 2022, Clarkson was mandated to provide $45k monthly in child support for their two children, River, who is nine years old, and Remington, who is seven years old.

Up until this January, Blackstock also received $115,000 each month in spousal support.

According to court records acquired by TMZ, a California labor commissioner declared in November 2023 that Blackstock had "illegally" secured positions for Clarkson while working as her manager, including signing her contract to serve as a judge on The Voice.

According to the publication, Blackstock also received $2,641,374 in payments for endorsements from Wayfair and Norwegian Cruise Line.

Blackstock's ex-wife was given an order by the labor commissioner to refund the commissions, which included $1.98 million for The Voice gig.

Blackstock's legal team reportedly intends to appeal the ruling. After nine seasons as one of The Voice's four celebrity coaches, Clarkson decided to step down in October.

She told USA Today that anchoring The Kelly Clarkson Show and The Voice for the previous few years had been too much to handle.

When Kelly had to perform two roles, she remarked, "Full disclosure: I put on a smile a lot of those times because I was struggling a lot in my personal life."

She added, "I've learned a lot about what I'm capable of handling, and also what you should not handle. That was me saying "bye" to The Voice and having this big move. I love that family, but I was like, "I'm struggling. I can't smile anymore. I don't feel like smiling." "What's cool for me with season 5 is I am in such a great place, not only with my kids, but with me personally and with the show," she admitted.
