Travis Kelce is showing support for his girlfriend Taylor Swift's bestie, Selena Gomez. It can be recalled that Gomez did not extend the same support in the early days of his romance with Swift, though.
The 34-year-old tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs liked a post on Instagram that GQ had shared with a few pictures from Selena Gomez and her boyfriend Benny Blanco's recent date night to the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Miami Heat game on Wednesday.
The duo appeared to be in love in the pictures that Kelce shared, grinning as they cuddled up to watch the basketball game from courtside at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. In the endearing pictures, Gomez, 31, who was wearing a black-and-white outfit and silver boots, was attached by her arm to the 35-year-old music producer. In one of the pictures, she even laid her head on his shoulder.
The social circles of the two-time Super Bowl champion and his Grammy Award-winning girlfriend have before intersected. Swift, 34, has attended his football games with several of her pals, such as Blake Lively and Alana Haim, during their relationship. The Midnights musician has also gotten close to his friends, including Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, and his wife Brittany Mahomes. The two have gone to several events together in Kansas City, Missouri.
A few weeks after Gomez disclosed on social media in mid-December that she and Blanco had been dating for six months, the NFL player expressed his affection for Swift's best friend on Instagram.
Just a few days before, the actress from Only Murders in the Building appeared to confirm their relationship by responding to multiple social media posts speculating about their love relationship.
It can be remembered that back in October of last year, Selena Gomez reportedly worries that her close friend Taylor Swift-whom the "Anti-Hero" singer has been romantically linked to since September-may be hurrying into things with Travis Kelce.
An informant who allegedly spoke with Page Six claims that Gomez, 31, is concerned that her buddy Swift, 33, might be "moving too fast" with her new partner, 34, an NFL player.
"Selena thinks Taylor going to games and galavanting through New York immediately after just meeting Travis is something that is very unlike her," an insider reportedly disclosed. The insider added, "Historically, Taylor's always been super private about everything, and now with this [relationship], she's so open about it that it's just very odd for Selena."
