On Friday night, Cher posted a provocative new picture of herself and her lover Alexander Edwards on X. In a private picture, the 77-year-old veteran performer was straddling her 38-year-old boyfriend while tenderly petting his chin.

The celebs, who are 40 years apart in age, looked stunning in the photo against a stark white backdrop.

They each had golden blonde hair.

The "Beat Goes On" singer styled her icy locks with sweeping bangs and a voluminous beehive shape.

It happens after Cher's request to be named Elijah Blue Allman's temporary conservator was turned down by a judge.

Elijah is Cher's 47-year-old son.

With nearly four million followers, Cher has had 3.1 million views, over a thousand reposts, and over 15,000 likes on her post on X thus far.

Edwards sat in a black chair in the seductive picture, dressed in blue trousers and a white, black, and blue motorcycle jacket. He encircled the music icon's lower back with his arms while sporting a pair of black sunglasses.

Cher, whose full name is Cherilyn Sarkisian, was dressed in lounge pants with a black and white pattern tucked into fuzzy white boots and a long-sleeved black v-neck top. Her face was hardly cosmetically enhanced, with gems positioned beneath her eyes.

The caption for the photo said, "Love is Love."

This Monday, a judge dismissed Cher's request to put her drug-addled adult son Elijah under her guardianship.

Last week, she filed a petition with the LA Superior Court to be named Elijah's interim conservator. She claimed that Elijah's drug addiction and health problems, both physical and mental, prevent him from handling the $120,000 annually that he receives from a trust fund established by his late father, rock musician Gregg Allman.

Cher expressed her concern that he might endanger his life by abusing his $10,000 monthly stipend for narcotics. Judge Jessica Uzcategui declined to name Cher as conservator, citing the star's lawyers' failure to provide Elijah with adequate notice of the legal action and their refusal to divulge private information on his case.

Marieangela 'Queeny' King, 36, Elijah's wife, whom he had reconciled with recently, was at court with him. Gabrielle Vidal, Cher's attorney, requested that the judge forgo the customary five-day notice period that is necessary to notify an individual of a possible conservatorship. Elijah might be placed "in a life or death position" if funds from his trust fund are distributed to him "absent a (conservatorship) order today," according to Vidal.
