Celine Dion is not easily giving up in her stiff-person syndrome battle.

Dion has been out of the spotlight since revealing her diagnosis to her fans. While she made rare appearances in public, she has yet to return to the stage as she continues her treatment for the neurological disorder.

Celine Dion's Resiliency Is Remarkable

A source spoke to Star (OK! Magazine) to share Dion's status despite the heartbreaking and worrying health condition.

"Everyone's rallying round Celine. Her kids are front and center, helping with whatever she needs and spending time with her to keep her spirits up," the insider said. "Some days are harder than others. "But Celine's being extremely positive."

Her three sons with her late husband, René Angélil - René-Charles, Eddy and Nelson - has been supportive of her. Her sister, Linda Dion, also moved in to assist her with her needs.

The "To Love You More" hitmaker reportedly keeps her head high as she keeps in active contact with medical professionals while undergoing physical therapy sessions to manage her symptoms.

"Celine isn't sitting around moping, that will never be her style," the insider went on. "She's holding out hope that she'll recover and even perform again. Her resilience is remarkable."

Per Johns Hopkins Medicine, the tube connects the middle ear to the nasal-sinus cavity to balance the pressure in the middle ear and drain fluid from it. It also protects the organ from hearing the sounds of one's body.

This condition made Dion suffer hearing irregularities. Thus, it ultimately affected her ability to sing, and surgery was the only way to correct it as her ear-drop medications no longer worked.

Celine Dion Wants To Perform Soon

Although her symptoms have yet to improve, Dion remains positive she will be able to perform again even when she has to be in a wheelchair.

"Celine would be content to just sit in a chair and sing to entertain her audiences," the insider said, per RadarOnline.com. "But her voice is just not coming back the way that would allow her to perform or record again."

The source added, "She has spasms in her vocal cords. She can sing fine - just like you know Celine for a few notes, then a spasm kicks in and throws what she's singing completely out of whack."
