Chingy Believes Ferguson Riots Are A Government 'Conspiracy' [WATCH]

The latest celebrity to weigh in on the situation in Ferguson, Missouri, is St. Louis rapper Chingy, best known for his 2003 hit "Right Thurr," who posted a video to Youtube concerning his feelings about the shooting of Michael Brown and the riots that followed, believing it all to be a political conspiracy in an effort to establish a police state.

"I know they're trying to push in this martial law thing," the 34-year-old rapper said, "So I feel like, even with the Mike Brown tragedy, I feel like it was a conspiracy. I feel like there was something set up about it. That's just me...I feel like this is going to continue to happen in other cities as well."

Chingy compares the agenda of the U.S. government to something that he knows a thing or two about: the music business. "When we putting together that album, we're tying to strategically plan, market, advertise, market this plan to the people to get them to buy it. That's what the government do," he explains. "They set forth an agenda, elect a specific person...and the agenda for the political powers that be is to enslave the minds of the masses of the people, and it's working."

Though he seems to be blaming the government for what happened in Ferguson, Chingy seems to contradict himself by admitting that he doesn't think "the government had too much to say about it," adding that, "if they did, [the police officer who shot Mike Brown] would be locked up."

"I know you love this government, I know everybody loves this government, the land of the free," Chingy says later on in the video, "But I want you to pay attention to something. Because living in this country, you have always been a slave to what they want you to believe and do. So understand who your enemies are before you just go blame other people in different countries, because you don't know what's going on."
