Taylor Swift reacted as soon as Jo Koy joked about her while hosting the 2024 Golden Globes.
Jo Koy led the star-studded ceremony in California a few weeks after the 81st Golden Globe Awards picked him to host the event. Among the celebrities present included Swift, who was nominated for the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement for her "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour."
The "Lover" hitmaker did not win, and she was not impressed more after the host joked about her new relationship with Travis Kelce.
Taylor Swift Reacted to Jo Koy's Joke
During the event, Jo Koy made a reference to the attention Swift gets whenever she attends Kelce and Kansas City Chiefs games.
"The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL - on the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift," the stand-up comedian, born Joseph Glenn Herbert Sr., said. "I swear, there's just more to go to."
While listening to Jo Koy's presentation, Swift was seen taking a sip of her drink as the camera focused on her after the joke. She also did not show any other response aside from her "unimpressed" and "serious" look.
Following Jo Koy's joke, Swifties, experts and viewers shared different opinions about what happened, with some siding with the comedian.
Body language expert Jess Ponce told The Mirror that Jo Koy made a "weak joke."
"On Taylor's part, she didn't seem impressed with the joke at all. Normally poised, relaxed, and friendly in front of the camera, she adopted a stoic and serious demeanor while taking a sip of her cocktail. Her eyes glared forward and if we could have read her mind I am sure a few choice words would be censored," he explained.

Jo Koy Defends His Joke
After the event, Jo Koy told Extra that the joke was more of a compliment.
"It's like, she can be more intimate tonight. That's all," he said.
He also told "Good Morning America" that his joke "fell a little flat," calling it "weird."
"But it was more on the NFL, you know what I mean? I was trying to make fun of the NFL using cutaways and how the Globes didn't have to do that. It was more of a jab towards the NFL, but it just didn't come out that way," he went on.
