Lil Nas X just announced that he's going back to college and taking up Biblical studies. He posted the message with an acceptance letter, which makes the announcement seems legit, for those who think this is just a marketing ploy.

On X, he wrote, "I know twitter hates me right now but i want yall to know im literally about to go to college for biblical studies in the fall. Not everything is a troll! Anyways IM A STUDENT AGAIN! LETS GOOO."

But the announcement's timing seems off.

On January 12, the number-one pop artist makes a comeback with a brand-new song called "J Christ."

In a press release, Nas states, "My new single is dedicated to the man who had the greatest comeback of all time!" There will be a music video for the song, which appears to be the lead single off Nas's upcoming sophomore album. THis is why his announcement of taking up Biblical studies is quite weird - and too coincidental. Nas posted a preview of an acoustic song on X/Twitter on November 29.

He wrote, "Y'all mind if I enter my Christian era?" With a shirt that said, "If God doesn't exist then who's laughing at u." The musical snippet featured lyrics including, "I call on angels / I'm trying hard to face my pain, yeah / Give me hope when I feel / Give me hope when I feel less." It's unknown if "J Christ" is the song or if it will be on his upcoming album.

At the age of 25, Lil Nas X, the Grammy-winning singer and rapper, is obviously very affluent after taking the globe by storm with his debut single.

In 2019, the song "Old Town Road" became an instant hit and was certified diamond. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Lil Nas X's estimated net worth as of 2023 is $9 million.

Much of Lil Nas X's wealth and success may be traced back to that hit. He made a substantial amount, much more so when we account for the investment.

He barely spent $50 on this song, paying about $30 to producer YoungKio for the track and an additional $20 to record it at Atlanta studio CinCoYo. Forbes estimates that he earned almost $14 million before taxes from the song. Lil Nas began to become well-known on the internet and on social media.

He once claimed in an interview that he attempted purposefully to build a social media following, and that Twitter was the platform on which he eventually succeeded.

In 2017, he gained notoriety for inventing Nicki Minaj fan accounts and going viral while doing so. Despite his initial denial, he ultimately admitted his involvement with those fan accounts after pursuing a career in music.
