Rod Stewart Bio
Roderick David Stewart was born on January 10, 1945 in London, England. Stewart is originally from Highgate in London, and has been known to have been maintaining homes both in the United Kingdom and the United States, as per Planetradio.co.uk. As such, the British singer-songwriter, thus, shares his time between the UK and America.
Rod Stewart Early Music Career Beginnings
Rod Stewart started his music career by being a member of The Dimensions, an R & B music group. In October 1963, Stewart became a member of this group as a harmonica player and vocalist, while simultaneously working at his brother's painting and picture framing businesses. Not being contented with having the role of a harmonica player in The Dimensions, Rod Stewart left the group in 1965.
Stewart joined two other music groups, The Jeff Beck Group and Faces, in 1967 and 1969, respectively, prior to embarking on a successful solo career as a singer.

Rod Stewart's solo artist career broke through when he released his own debut album called, "Every Picture Tells a Story" in 1971, after having signed with Mercury records in October 1968. This album and the lead single off it called, "Maggie May" topped the US and UK charts simultaneously; a feat that has happened for the first time in the music industry's history.
Rod followed up a release of his sophomore solo album after his debut album's success. Stewart's sophomore album was called, "Never a Dull Moment" (1972). The album was a chart topper in the United Kingdom for two weeks, and subsequently topped the number two spot of the American album chart.

As per the same publication, Sean posted a series of his photos taken with his father, Rod on Instagram when the former celebrated his 43rd birthday in August 2023.
