Ozzy Osbourne has not fully recuperated from his health issues, but the rocker is already taking baby steps toward recovery.
On the latest episode of "The Osbournes Podcast" on Tuesday, January 9, Osbourne sat down for a discussion with Billy Morrison, during which he disclosed the latest update on his health. The Black Sabbath rocker had his fourth - and final - surgery in September 2023.
Ozzy Osbourne Gives Fans a Health Update
According to the 75-year-old Prince of Darkness, he no longer sees many doctors after his recent surgery.
"I'm just seeing the Parkinson's doctor, but I'm not having surgery or anything. I had seven surgeries in five years," Osbourne, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2003, said. "It's a slow recovery because I'm not as young as I used to be so recovery of anything is gonna take time."
Osbourne declared before his 2023 surgery that his spinal surgery would be his last. The operation focused on fixing the damage he sustained after a 2019 fall.
Aside from his health battles, Osbourne also reflected on his drug and alcohol addiction struggles after Morrison praised him for looking so much better now.
The rocker continued, "It's just a job, it's what I do now. I just came back from the doctor today and my blood clots are gone, everything's back to normal. I can bend my neck. I just gotta get my balance going now."
His update came after his wife, Sharon Osbourne, shared their desire to revive the Ozzfest years after canceling the festival due to greedy managers who thought "they were earning billions" from the event.
Ozzy Osbourne Wants To Perform Again
While Osbourne is unsure when he can perform again, he told Rolling Stone U.K. he was taking things "one day at a time" to make sure he is fully recovered before performing again.
He added that he does not want to turn himself into a hologram and hold ABBA-style shows.
As for his Parkinson's battle, he compared his illness to the "end of a love affair."
"At the start of my illness, when I stopped touring, I was really (annoyed) with myself, the doctors, and the world," he shared. "But as time has passed, I've just gone, 'Well, maybe I've just got to accept that fact."
