Lisa Marie Presley's posthumous memoir will finally be released with the help of her daughter, Riley Keough.
Presley's death came as a shock to many, especially with the spine-tingling similarities that the death had with her father, the late Elvis Presley.
Lisa Marie Presley Memoir Release Date
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lisa Marie Presley's memoir release date will be on Oct. 15, 2024.
Random House Group, the same publishing group that published Prince Harry's very controversial memoir, "Spare," Trevor Noah's best-selling book, "Born A Crime," and Mel Brooks' "All About Me," will be publishing Lisa Marie Presley's yet-to-be-titled memoir.
"This raw, riveting, one-of-a-kind memoir will lift the veil on one of America's most storied families, sharing intimate memories of Lisa Marie's remarkable, tumultuous life while offering a poignant exploration of the bonds between a mother and daughter," the press release said of its upcoming title.
The outlet also revealed that Random Group will be collaborating with Graceland heiress and Golden Globe-nominated actress Riley Keough in the production of her mother's posthumous memoir.
Apparently, the book has long been gestating, and Presley, before her tragic death in January 2023, had already asked her daughter to help her finish the memoir.
What Will Lisa Marie Presley Memoir Contain?
Since then, Keough had listened to the tapes that her mother had recorded. It would reportedly contain Presley's stories about Graceland, her talked-about relationship with her mother, Priscilla Presley, her marriages with Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage, Benjamin Keough's suicide, and her life in the public eye.
"Few people had the opportunity to know who my mom really was, other than being Elvis's daughter. I was lucky to have had that opportunity and working on preparing her autobiography for publication has been a privilege, albeit a bittersweet one. I'm so excited to share my mom now, at her most vulnerable and most honest, and in doing so, I do hope that readers come to love my mom as much as I did," Riley Keough said in a statement.
Riley Keough will not only help in releasing Lisa Marie Presley, but she will also be narrating the audiobook.
"We are so honored to publish Lisa Marie's memoir with Riley's thoughtful collaboration," Random House Group President Sanyu Dillon said in a statement. "Lisa Marie led a truly singular life, and we know this book, brought to publication with the guidance of her daughter, will be a beautiful legacy not only for her children, but for the generations of people who have loved her."
