January marks the new year for music as multiple albums are released today. Here's a list of a few albums that are set to top the charts this year:
Kali Uchis: ORQUÍDEAS
Kali Uchis has put out a new album today with 14 songs with features from a variety of artists including Peso Pluma, El Alfa, Rauw Alejandro and more. The album was announced in December shortly after the artist told the world of her pregnancy with singer Don Toliver in a new music video for the song "Tu Corazón Es Mio..." which is also featured on the album. Uchis took to Instagram to announce her pregnancy even citing that no one should be forced or harassed to tell the world about their pregnancy or put out music, but she is grateful for all the love and support she has received so far.
Dexta Daps: Trilogy
Jamaican singer Dexta Daps released a new album called "Trilogy" on his birthday today with 16 songs featuring other artists like Jada Kingdom, Chronic Law, Tarrus Riley and much more. Daps captioned a post on his social media announcing the album. He wrote, "Introducing The Trilogy Album Tracklist: Reality, Explicit, Heart(Love). This project is a reflection of my journey & some of the different layers of my life. It's something for everyone..."
21 Savage: American Dream
The British rapper 21 Savage released a 15 song album with features from Doja Cat, Metro Boomin, Young Thug, Lil Durk, Travis Scott, Burna Boy, Summer Walker, Brent Faiyaz and Mariah The Scientist. The album is also alleged to throw shots at Gunna and fans thought it was strange that Metro Boomin was featured and not Drake after their last project together. However, this album is set to be just as big as his previous album "i am > i was."
Kid Cudi: INSANO
Kid Cudi released a 21-song album and hosted an autograph signing next to a statue in Long Beach today. The album has features from Lil Wayne, Travis Scott, A$AP Rocky and more. Cudi will be hosting meet and greets over the weekend. Cudi tweeted, "If u didnt get a autograph tn come to my signing tomorrow in Long Beach. Ill be there for a couple hrs signing so pull up!!"
