Now, the rap legend is reportedly skipping the 2024 Grammy Awards.

Sean Diddy Combs Skips 2024 Grammy Awards

The Hollywood Reporter exclusively revealed that Sean Diddy Combs will not be attending the 2024 Grammy Awards.

Combs was nominated for Best Progressive R&B Album for "The Love Album: Off the Grid," making it his first nomination as a lead artist for an album category. He was previously nominated and won Best Rap Album in 1998 but for a group.

This also marked his first nomination in eight years which is why attending the Grammy Awards this year was supposedly a good thing.

However, things aren't exactly unfolding the way he wants to.

Why is Sean Diddy Combs Skipping The Grammy Awards?

The reason why Sean Diddy Combs is skipping the Grammy Awards isn't actually revealed, but it would be very likely to avoid media attention and scrutiny as he is being sued for sexual assault.

Sean Diddy Combs has been slapped with three different sexual assault lawsuits.

First of that was already settled, but it was perhaps the biggest because it came from his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. The case was settled a day later.

The second one came from Joi Dickerson-Neal. She alleged Combs drugged her, raped her, filmed the encounter, and distributed the video in his inner circle.

Lastly, Jane Doe accused Combs and Aaron Hall of raping her and a friend in New York after being coerced and offered drinks the entire night in 1993.

Combs has dismissed the allegations. Per his spokesperson, the two last lawsuits were merely nothing but money grabs.

Since then, Sean Diddy Combs has already stepped down from his chairmanship role in RevoltTV.

"This decision helps to ensure that Revolt remains steadfastly focused on our mission to create meaningful content for the culture and amplify the voices of all Black people throughout this country and the African diaspora," a statement from the company said.

According to Revolt, the network's focus has always been one that reflects its commitment to the collective journey of REVOLT.

"One that is not driven by an individual, but by shared efforts and values of our entire team on behalf of advancing, elevating, and championing our culture - and that continues," they went on to say in a statement.
