Sophie Ellis-Bextor is amassing worldwide fame after her classic song "Murder on the Dancefloor," initially released in 2001, went viral over the past few weeks thanks to the movie "Saltburn" starring Barry Kheogan and Jacob Elordi.
More recently, the singer revealed that there is one legendary musician in the rock genre that is a big fan of her song; who could it be?
The songstress recently spoke with the "Capital Breakfast" show where she revealed that Dave Grohl is a big fan of her music and he expressed his love about the track personally.
"Dave Grohl once told me his family adore the song. I was like, 'Thank you for telling me, and also share this publicly. Don't feel we have to keep this private,'" she said on the show. (via NME)

Ellis-Bextor spoke with NME in an interview to speak more about her thoughts on "Murder on the Dancefloor's" resurgence thanks to the movie "Saltburn."
Originally released in 2001 from her first album "Read My Lips," the song became a cult classic and has managed to breakthrough the charts after it was used in a nude scene on the movie mentioned above.
"That's what's been quite extraordinary. To them it's a new song, and that's bonkers... It didn't do anything there the first time around, and I'm fine with that. If I've learned anything along the way it's that you've got to go where the momentum is," she said.

The singer further noted that being big in America was a big dream for her and it's truly happening in the present.
Regarding her plans on going on tour or even appearing on Coachella, the musician said she would love to do it if given the opportunity.
'Murder on the Dancefloor' Meaning
According to an analysis by Smooth Radio, "Murder on the Dancefloor" revolves around a wicked story which is contrary to its beats and tone.
The track is about doing tactics in order to win a dance competition against other people, which was presented in the music video.
The outlet noted that the singer sabotages the competition in order to win, she poisoned competitors and even flirted with the judges.
