Sad news for fans of Code Orange, the group will no longer perform at their scheduled show for this year as they announced devastating news about a bandmate; who was it, and what happened?
According to Rolling Stone, the Pittsburgh-based metal core band just canceled their tour as they confirmed that member, Dom Landolina, is currently going through a health problem and he needed to recover from it.
In a statement, they told their followers that the member has been "dealing with serious health issues over the past year that have led to his inability to play, perform and live comfortably."
They clarified that although he was able to perform during their tour a few months ago, his "issues were exasperated by them."
Code Orange said they want to give him proper time to recover and they are hoping to return by February.
"Ultimately its been determined that he is unable to play guitar at this time. We take this decision very seriously, and this is the last way we intended to start this era," they added.
Code Orange Had Unfortunate Moments in the Past but Nothing Compares to Their Recent Struggles
Later in the post, they noted that there had been several problems that they encountered during the beginning of their career.
One of the issues they had was spending a lot of time in touring vans, sleeping on the floors, but nothing compares to the harship they feel in the present amid Landolina's health woes.
"No time period has been as difficult for us as the last few years. We are now focused on regaining our strength. We will be back with more stability and in full force," they added.
Code Orange Canceled Tour
The outlet noted that the band was supposed to have a co-headlining tour which will begin in February 13 in Austin, Texas. The shows will visit major cities across the United States until their final show in Los Angeles on March 17.
Code Orange previously announced that their supporting acts will be Spy, Soul Blind, Gel, Teenage Wrist, and Gridiron.
Aside from their tour, the group will also not perform at their scheduled festival appearances such as the Pulp Summer Slam and ShipRocked cruise.
