A new source claims that Taylor Swift is "mortified" by the rumors that have been going around about her relationship with Travis Kelce. Not that she believes that Travis Kelce is just using her for fame -- but the rumors still bother her.
Although they had been seeing one other covertly for months before, Travis and Taylor have just been dating in public since September 2023.
As Taylor was preparing for her International Eras Tour, there were allegations that the relationship was solely for self-promotion when the two initially went public. As Taylor persisted in attending Travis' Chiefs games and showing support for him, those rumors gradually subsided.
Yet as they were sighted together on a number of dates away from the NFL field, more rumors about Travis Kelce and his alleged use of Taylor for fame and self-promotion are now starting to surface. These allegations follow the accusations that were recently stoked by a New York Times article that said Travis' handlers wanted to make him "as famous as" other celebrities, such as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
An insider told Life & Style Magazine that Taylor was "mortified" by the latest rumors that Travis Kelce was exploiting her for publicity.
The insider stated that Taylor Swift does not really beleive Travis is dating her to get more famous, but she hates that it's given people "ammunition to use against them."
She said on top of everything - the rumors just present a stressful situation for their relationship, which really hasn't been tested until now.
This was confirmed by another individual, who claimed that Travis Kelce "truly fell in love with [Taylor]." The insider reportedly said, "He's not using her for fame, but there's no denying the timing was perfect." His plan was intensified by their love." The source continued, saying that because "they're both super competitive and ambitious," "they're so good for each other."
The insider went on, "They're the new Hollywood power couple!"
Since their relationship became public in September, when the "Cruel Summer" singer attended a Chiefs game to support Travis and even sat with his mother, Donna, in a private VIP suite, Taylor and Travis's romance has been in the news. In her interview with Time magazine, she specifically discussed what being so public with Travis Kelce has done to her.
"When you say a relationship is public, that means I'm going to see him do what he loves, we're showing up for each other, other people are there, and we don't care."
"The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you're seeing someone. And we're just proud of each other," the "Cruel Summer" singer said.
