Riley Keough provided a deeper understanding of the steps she took to complete the book left behind by her mother, Lisa Marie Presley, at the Emmy Awards night.
She told a reporter on the red carpet, "I want to say she'd been working on it for three or four years, and it's just something I felt that I needed to do for her and help her complete that project."
Opening up about her experience, the Hollywood actress revealed that delving into the late star's initial drafts is a deeply emotional journey that brings both catharsis and healing.
She said, "I feel honored to be able to help. It makes me feel very close to her, so it's kind of, again, bittersweet and difficult but also really special."
In a post on social media, Riley made a heartfelt announcement about her upcoming memoir, which comes just over a year after the tragic passing of Lisa Marie.
She revealed, "I'm honored to help put my mother's book out for her. Her autobiography will be out in October with @randomhouse, and you can pre-order it now with the link in my bio."
Presley Feud
This comes after the struggle for control over her late mother's estate in which Riley Keough emerged victorious as the sole trustee.
However, this triumph didn't come without its fair share of conflict. Riley's grandmother, Priscilla Presley, also set her sights on claiming the title, leading to a heated battle between the two.
Reports of a feud between Riley and the matriarch circulated widely, but in May 2023, a resolution was finally reached.
But she and her beloved grandmother were determined to dispel the ongoing rumors at the prestigious Emmys event this year.

Lisa Marie Remembered
Priscilla, accompanying the actress for her big night, provided unwavering support as Riley vied for the title Best Supporting Actress.
During the glamorous event, Priscilla took a moment to reflect on the enduring memory of Lisa Marie and the ongoing sadness she feels following her untimely passing.
The former Mrs. Elvis Presley stated, "I think about her all day, all night. I miss my daughter very, very much. It was a shock to all of us."
Priscilla added, "For a mother, when they lose a child, a lot of them is lost too, as a parent. We grieve, we can't believe it. We try to understand. I know she wasn't that happy, I know when her son died, that was really when she just didn't want to be her."
