G Flip is a Swiftie and they are not afraid to show it. When the Australian singer released a rock version of Taylor Swift's smash song "Cruel Summer" earlier this week, fans all over the world showered them with love.

Nevertheless, G Flip became emotional when people began bringing up the fact that Swift allegedly expressed her affection for the cover on social media. "TAYLOR LIKED ON IG," one follower pointed out to the spouse of Chrishell Stause.

G Flip replied on TikTok, saying to their almost 400,000 followers, "Thank you so much for liking it and thank you Taylor for liking it. I'm trying not to cry."

They went on, "It's really cool. I love your art and thank you so much everyone for getting around this cover." G Flip said, "I didn't realize it would get so much love. So, thank you. Oh my god!"

The "Be Your Man" musician additionally stated in the post that she "got a bit emotional cause taylor is an icon and one of the best songwriters of all time." The Selling Sunset actor, who is also the rocker's significant other, added, "We don't talk enough about the fact G wrote the entire string section too."

Since releasing their first studio album in 2019, G Flip has become a rising star in the Australian music industry.

They have received two prestigious ARIA Music Awards. They specifically won the 2023 ceremony's Best Australian Live Act and Best Video trophies.

Additionally, G Flip was announced as a nominee for the 2024 GLAAD Media Awards on Wednesday, January 17. The category is Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist.

Hopefully, G Flip and Swift will cross paths at the latter's international Eras Tour stop in Australia. Swift has sold out three straight shows at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, making these her biggest-ever performances.

In the run-up to the Eras Tour's Melbourne debut, Lisa Given, head of RMIT University's Social Change Enabling Impact Platform, is organizing a free fanposium event with some of the top pop culture and music specialists in the globe.

The 12-time Grammy winner was included in Forbes' billionaires club last year, but Swift's income is derived only from her discography and live performances; she doesn't have any side businesses like a beauty line. The Washington Post calculates that she may have boosted the US economy by $US5.7 billion ($8.3 billion) by the conclusion of her Eras Tour. It's designed to do the same for Australia.
