In an effort to rescind her accusation of child abduction against her divorced spouse Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner is taking action.

According to TMZ, the 27-year-old English actress recently requested that the judge presiding over her divorce dismiss the allegation.

The former couple had previously been deeply at odds over the future living arrangements of their kids, with Sophie claiming that Joe had stopped them from visiting the UK with her.

The request's announcement comes days after Turner was sighted at London's Heathrow Airport last week, where she was promoting her new relationship with British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson and was wearing a gold band on her engagement finger.

The vocalist of the Jonas Brothers seems to be in agreement, and it was said that his lawyers had joined the motion.

Turner's request hasn't been accepted by the court yet, but it's highly likely to be granted because all sides agree on the issue.

Sophie filed the child abduction lawsuit in September 2023, and a federal court in New York is presently handling the matter.

She said at the time that her ex-musician boyfriend was breaking international law by preventing the kids from traveling to be with her. Two little daughters, Willa, age three, and Delphine, age one, are raised by the ex-couples.

After the Game of Thrones actress sued Joe in October of last year for allegedly trying to stop him from preventing her from bringing their kids on an arranged trip to the UK, Joe and Sophie worked out a custody agreement.

Court records previously obtained by DailyMail.com show that the custody agreement permits the girls to go back and forth between the US and the UK and gives each parent two weeks at a time with their daughters until January 2024.

Turner can take the girls to England, which she says will be their "forever home," as they can travel to any location in the US and the UK. Turner was able to spend Christmas with the girls in the UK with her family, while Jonas got to take them on tour with his band The Jonas Brothers.

After four days of intensive mediation in New York, where the girls were residing with Turner in early October, an agreement was struck.

It was anticipated that settling the child custody dispute would pave the path for the couple to divorce.

According to a court filing by Turner's attorney Stephen Cullen, the custody arrangement is "in anticipation of an amicable resolution of all issues" and the mediation is "ongoing and productive."

On September 1, Jonas filed for divorce in Miami, according to people close to him, alleging that Turner had gone out too much, leaving him by himself to care for his girls. The last time the kids were with Turner was on January 7.

However, Jonas was seen in London a few days before Christmas, which raised the possibility that he spent the holiday with the girls-either with Turner or on his own.

Since the end of last year, when their interim custody arrangement was finalized, the two celebrities have maintained a comparatively quiet profile.

The hitmaker and the X-Men actress, though, seem to have moved on to new relationships. In December, Turner revealed that she was seeing Peregrine Pearson, following reports of their unusually passionate outing.
