Where is Jesse Rutherford? His last social media post is 29 weeks ago. Before that, one can recall he garnered the ire of Billie Eilish's fans.
This last post is full of scathing comments, and one can wonder if these drove him to have a hiatus.
Jesse Rutherford, Billie Eilish's ex-boyfriend, has drawn criticism online for what seems to be going too far with his new song "POV." Fans said they could not believe his audacity after Eilish did not even say a bad word about him after their breakup.
The couple, who separated in May, had been together for less than a year and were separated by ten years in age.
Rutherford sings about a younger admirer who has been listening to his music for ten years in the song "POV," which is taken from his recently released album "&ONE."
"She been listening to me since 2013 / I know she's got daddy issues, welcome to the family / She said, 'Jesse, baby, won't you write a song about me?' / I said, 'I got a whole album, I could drop it next week'," the 32-year-old rocker sings.
In another part of the song, he sings, "Feel like Alejandro when she Gaga on my goo, I'm at the top, you're at the bottom, It's a different POV.The "gross" lyrics of Rutherford's song outraged Eilish's supporters on X, the former name of Twitter, when it was released.

"The way Billie Eilish was so kind to Jesse Rutherford after the breakup and treated him with the utmost respect on the internet and he fired back with a diss track?! The way he talks about her in his song is utterly repulsive," one fan said.
The music video itself was full of angry comments, with some even calling for him to be placed behind bars.
Despite rumors to the contrary, Rutherford mentions the seven-time Grammy winner by name in the song "Turn Heel" on "&ONE."
"I just got a text from Billie Eilish," he sings. Rutherford seems to be addressing their age difference in a different song, "Law of Attraction," when he sings,"She's only 21, savage / But she's a bad bitch."
Eilish referred to the "Neighbourhood" musician as "the hottest fucking fucker alive" before the two broke up.
Before Rutherford's album was published earlier this month, Eilish talked about her breakup with him. In a Q&A on her Instagram Story, she stated that he is her "homie forever," indicating that they get along well, according to the Los Angeles Times.
