The Recording Academy just revealed the next round of performers for the upcoming Grammy Awards, which will take place on Feb. 4 at the Crypto.com Arena.
A week after announcing that Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, and Dua Lipa are set to take centerstage at the Grammys, the Recording Academy announced that Travis Scott, Luke Combs, and Burna Boy will also be performing next month, reports say.
Many noted that this year's Grammy performers is a really "out there" mix of musicians, rappers, and artists.
All three male performers also happen to be nominated under several categories.
Travis Scott Reclaims Glory With 'Astroworld'
Scott has amassed 10 nominations at the Grammy Awards through the years, but he is yet to bring home the bacon-is it finally his time to shine this year?
As per the Recording Academy's website, the rapper's fourth studio album, "Utopia," is nominated for Best Rap Album.
It also seems like the rapper is on his way to reclaiming his former glory after the Astroworld Festival tragedy in November 2021.
Burna Boy, on the other hand, is nominated for four Grammys: Best Global Music Album for "I Told Them...," Best African Performance for "City Boys," Best Global Music Performance for "Alone," and Best Melodic Rap Performance for "Sttin' On Top of the World."
Meanwhile, on the other spectrum in terms of music genre, Combs is nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for his cover of Tracy Chapman's hit song "Fast Car."
This is the country musician's seventh Grammy nod, but he has yet to win.
Netizens React to 2024 Grammy Award Performers
There was a mix of reactions shared online regarding this year's lineup of performances at the Grammy Awards.
While the female artists received a lot of praise and excitement, the male artists were met with disappointment.
"We wanted Lana [Del Rey] to perform 'A&W' or 'Ocean Blvd," one wrote.
"We'll be tuning in for Billie."
"What about Taylor Swift?"
"The Grammys used to be so star-studded, what happened?" another remarked.
Others even claimed that the lineup "made [them] not want to watch" at all, while others kept looking or suggesting other artists.
As of this writing, there are a total of six performers, and there is no word on whether the Recording Academy will be adding any more to the roster.
