As Ariana Grande debuts her new single, "yes, and?" on the Billboard Hot 100 charts No. 1, her producer and co-songwriter, Max Martin, also made a career stride by bagging his 24th Hot 100 No. 1 track.
Max Martin, the producer behind plenty of pop music's most successful songs, is now the producer with the most No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 tracks.

Billboard proclaims Max Martin as the sole producer with the Most No. 1s in the history of the coveted singles chart.
"Yes, and?" officially became his 24th prized song. He now surpasses George Martin, the producer behind many of The Beatles' songs - he produced 20 No. 1s from the band alone.

Max Martin debuted at No. 1 in 1999 with "...Baby One More Time." He followed it with Pink's "So What" in 2008, "My LIfe Would Suck Without You" by Kelly Clarkson in 2009, "3" by Britney Spears in 2009, Katy Perry's "California Gurls," "Teenage Dream," and Pink's "Raise Your Glass" in 2010.
In 2011, Max Martin produced Britney Spears' "Hold It Against Me" in 2011, Katy Perry's "E.T." and "Last Friday Night," and "Part of Me in 2012. He was also behind Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" in 2012, Maroon 5's "One More Night," Katy Perry's "Roar" in 2013, and her "Dark Horse."
In 2014, she produced "Blank Space" and "Bad Blood" by Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd's "Can't Feel My Face" in 2015.
Martin was also responsible for the hits "Blinding Lights," "My Universe," and "Save Your Tears."
"What's so impressive is that he's always in tune with the times, which has enabled him to stay relevant all these years," Hit Songs Deconstructed Co-Founder Dave Penn said in a statement to Billboard in 2021. "A decade ago, he was opting for more clubby dance beats and EDM-styled synths. But toward the end of the 2010s, he had embraced hip-hop and started including trap beats in songs.
"But while he has adjusted certain aspects of his writing and producing style over the years," Penn added, "what's interesting is that many things have remained essentially the same. Melody reigns supreme when it comes to mainstream hits, and Max Martin is still the undisputed champion of pop melody. As the saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
