Demi Lovato is currently facing criticism from other people as her song titled "Swine," which is a pro-choice track, divided people from around the internet. More recenly, Skillet frontman John Cooper expressed his own feelings over the song and slammed the singer for her belief.

Cooper spoke with PluggedIn for an interview where he opened up about the topic of abortion before he brought up the former Disney Channel star into the conversation.

He explained that based on his research, 800,000 babies are aborted every year and it's over 25% of babies annually.

For him, it's "crazy" but he felt that other celebrities are cheering on it.

"The point is that every day will give you new opportunities to explain to your kids, 'Okay, you know the celebrities that your friends all really idolise? You've gotta understand what they're actually saying - they're cheering it on," he explained.

Demi Lovato Gets Called Out by John Cooper For 'Swine'

Later in the interview, Cooper brought up Lovato's name to talk about her song "Swine," a pro-choice track that the musician released on the first anniversary of the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe vs. Wade.

The Skillet band member noted that the former pop superstar's protest track "encapsulates so much evil."

"In that song, she supplies us with the best pro-life argument we always give, which is that people are not killing their babies because they can't afford it," he added. (via NME)

Cooper further discussed his opinion about the track, saying people are "killing their mbabies because they want to have sex" with whoever they want to and they don't want to use birth control.

"It is pure narcissism, pure evil, and then she's screaming at all the people who are saying that this is murder," he added.

As of this writing, Demi Lovato has yet to react to John Cooper's comments about her song.

Demi Lovato 'Swine'

According to Rolling Stone, Demi Lovato's track "Swine" is one of her newest tracks that revolved around the genre of pop punk/rock as she already left the pop music sound behind.

In a statement shared at the time of the song's release, the musician said: "I created 'SWINE' to amplify the voices of those who advocate for choice and bodily autonomy."

She added: "I want this song to empower not only the birthing people of this country, but everyone who stands up for equality, to embrace their agency and fight for a world where every person's right to make decisions about their own body is honored."
