In celebration of the 20th anniversary of their seminal debut album, "Hot Fuss," The Killers have announced an eight-show residency in their hometown of Las Vegas.
Every song from the 2004 album will be performed by the Mr. Brightside hitmakers, which are Mark Stoermer, Dave Keuning, Ronnie Vannucci Jr., and Brandon Flowers, when they perform live in August at Caesars Palace's The Colosseum.
The residency is scheduled to take place from August 14 to August 30, and tickets go on sale on January 27.
The band posted on social media to announce the residency, saying, "It feels good to be home."
In August, join the four of us as we celebrate twenty years of Hot Fuss with eight gigs at Caesars Palace's Colosseum.
The band's breakthrough single, "Hot Fuss," has sold over seven million copies globally, peaked at number seven on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart, and topped the UK charts.
Four critically and commercially successful singles were released from it: Smile Like You Mean It, Somebody Told Me, Mr. Brightside, and All These Things That I've Done. Five Grammy Awards were nominated for the album and its first three singles. Mr. Brightside, The Killers' most successful single from 2003, reached at number 10 in both the US and the UK charts.
After 10 million US sales, the song recently attained uncommon Diamond status.
"Mr. Brightside" was ranked number 378 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time in 2021, after the magazine named it the 48th best song of the 21st century in 2010.
The Killers, who have sold over 28 million records globally, including 10.8 million in the US alone, are regarded as one of the biggest rock bands of the twenty-first century.
The group has played Madison Square Garden and Glastonbury as well as garnered seven Grammy nominations and two Brit Awards.
In 2001, The Killers were formed. In its early years, the band went through a number of temporary bassists and drummers before welcoming back Mark Stoermer (bass, rhythm guitar, backing vocals) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums, percussion) in 2002.
It was dubbed "the peak of Kardashian's Balenciaga moment" by Vogue at the time. Balenciaga caused controversy last year when it released an advertisement featuring children posing with various BDSM-themed things.
Kim, who had earlier claimed she was "shaken and disgusted" by the advertisement but had previously refused to sever her relationship with the company, announced her association with Demna Gvasalia's label in a statement on Monday.
The statement said: "Balenciaga's designs have been a part of my many looks - and some of my most iconic fashion moments - for several years now."
