Dolly Parton revealed her husband's reaction to her wearing the Dallas Cowboys' iconic cheerleader uniform during the NFL team's Thanksgiving Day game, and just like everyone else was, he was shocked.

"It turned out pretty cool and my husband liked it. He said, 'Those shorts were a little too short.' I said, 'Jealous?'" The "Jolene" singer laughed.

"And I said, 'They weren't as short as the other girls!' He was just being funny. I think he thought - because everybody's making a to-do over it - he thought, well, maybe you shouldn't be showing your butt at that age. But anyway, he got a kick out of it too," Parton added.

The singer surprised everyone when she showed up at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas for The Salvation Army's Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show wearing the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader outfit-a cropped top with the signature vest with stars and super short shorts and a white belt with blue stars.

Parton's husband, Carl Thomas Dean, was not the only one who was surprised to see the 78-year-old singer wearing the iconic NFL team's cheerleader uniform.

"It was completely her idea. She waited until right before she went to stage and came out of the dressing room to show us all. When she came out, myself, the security, and my staff fainted," said Danny Nozell, the singer's manager.

"I couldn't tell the difference between Dolly and the cheerleaders. That is the genius of Dolly, and people are still talking about it."

Unlike other husbands, Parton's was not fazed to see her in the uniform, in fact, he enjoyed it and took pride in the singer for being able to pull it off.

"I try not to get into anything I don't think I can pull off, just like that little Dallas Cowgirl outfit," she said.

"I really thought, well, I'm just going to do this for fun, because I mean, I've never been to one of their halftime shows, and they're so famous, the girls."

According to reports, Parton and Dean have been married for 57 years, and it appears that they are going strong.
