Coachella 2024 is off to a slow start--literally.

According to reports, the music festival, which used to sell out within minutes, is seeing its "slowest" ticket sales in 10 years.

It has been five days since Coachella announced the lineup of performers for this year, but many tickets are still available, in comparison to the music festival's previous records.

As per Digital Music News, Coachella from 2014 to 2022 managed to sell out within 40 minutes, which happened in 2015, to four hours, which happened in 2022.

Netizens could not help but point out that this year's Coachella lineup is "subpar."

"Well, with those headliners... I'm not surprised," one wrote.

"Maybe lower the prices then, just a thought," another added.

"Let's be serious doja is the only one worth seeing."

"No shade to the artists but we're used to more BIG names. This year (tho there are some great artists) lacks so much compared to previous years. Where the Beyonce? Where the Ariana? Where the Gaga?"

Coachella 2024 Lineup Lackluster Next to Previous Years?

According to Pitchfork, this year's lineup of performers includes Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat, Peso Pluma, Lil Uzi Vert, Sabrina Carpenter, No Doubt, Justice, Deftones, Peggy Gou, Young Miko, Bizarrap, Skepta, Ken Carson, Faye Webster, Tinashe, Brittany Howard, Chappel Roan, Chlöe, and Black Country, New Road, Jon Batiste, Grimes, Bleachers, and more.

However, netizens think that this is not enough to satiate them, as previous years' lineups featured bigger stars.

The lineup in 2015, which happened to be the year that sold out tickets the fastest included performances from Tyler the Creator, the Weeknd, Azealia Banks, FKA Twigs, Florence and the Machine, Perfume Genius, Run the Jewels, and Flying Lotus to name a few.

Others even pointed out that Coachella missed by not including KPOP sensation, BLACKPINK, in this year's lineup.

"What happens when there's no BLACKPINK and Dua [Lipa] declines."

"Yeah cus who the f**k has $550 for admission."

"Billie [Eilish], come back they obviously need you."

Coachella Pales in Comparison to Other Music Festivals

Coachella used to be the music festival with the biggest and hottest lineup of performers, however, it seems like they have been overtaken by other music festivals, like Lovers & Friends Festival which boasts a lineup including the Backstreet Boys, Janet Jackson, Usher, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Alicia Keys, and more.

The Jazz & Heritage Festival, on the other hand, managed to cop the Foo Fighters, Hozier, Queen Latifah, the Earth, Wind, & Fire.
