• Animal Collective's New Album Is Finally Finished

    Animal Collective's forthcoming studio album is finally complete. Details confirming the full length follow up to 2012's Centipede HZ were posted to L.A. based recording studio EastWest's Instagram account earlier this week. "We are so proud of them and this album," commented EastWest. In addition to EastWest's updates, recent Instagram updates also confirmed that Animal Collective has been writing and rehearsing at Drop of Sun Studios in Ashville.

    K-Pop group BTS (the Bangtan Boys) was forced to cut its New York City debut short as a result of terroristic threats made toward member Kim "Rap Monster" Nanjoon via Twitter. The fan meet-and-greet that was to follow that show at the Best Buy Theater near Times Square was also cancelled as a result. We might normally suggest that fans were "up in arms" over the development, but unfortunately that's exactly what led to this mess: two tweets from containing photos of individuals holding firearms while using the hashtag "#TRBinNYC."

    Robert Plant is taking the Sensational Space Shifters along for a unique ride to headline this year's Lockn' Festival for two particularly unusual headliners. According to a press release, Plant is scheduled to perform on September 12 and 13 which will bring a special liberation of "two completely different sets" over the span of two nights. "Plant has never done anything like this in his career," notes the announcement, "and it will undoubtedly make for some unique and historical moments."

    The Nikolas Rossi-directed film, 'Heaven Adores You,' details the life of the deceased singer songwriter, Elliott Smith. The project is due out on DVD, Blue-ray and digital formats on July 17. If that lawsuit wasn't enough, Birdman has brought forth another. He is suing Jay Z's TIDAL for recently releasing Lil Wayne's 'Free Weezy Album' -- to the tune of $50 million.
