Taylor Swift seems to have devoted a significant portion of her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, to her split from Joe Alwyn and her brief romance with rock musician Matty Healy.

But even before the album dropped, there were already speculations that the album will be devoted to these fairly recent relationships she was in before the world was swept away with her new romance with Travis Kelce.

Surprisingly, despite derogatory lyrics on TTPD that many assume must be directed at them, such as accusations of infidelity, broken vows, and vanity, neither Alwyn nor Healy have reacted. Sometimes silence is more triggering.

Neither of them even spoke up when months of speculations of the reportedly bad things they did to the singer circulated. None tried to clear their names.

Now, an expert claimed there could be a legal bar from doing so.

Did Matty Healy, Joe Alwyn, Other Exes Sign NDAs?

Did she request that partners sign nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) to provide her with a definite guarantee that they won't discuss their connection unless they want to face millions of dollars in lawsuits?

An expert said it's possible.

According to a renowned British attorney who spoke with MailOnline, there might even be legally binding provisions to remove images and manage posts on social media.

Leading British attorney Emma Gill, who works with Vardags, one of the best divorce firms in the UK, and represents celebrities and high-value football players, stated: "Taylor Swift has settled a number of scores in song, yet cleverly ensured her ex-lovers rarely become liabilities."

Taylor Swift's former boyfriends' silence raises the possibility that she forced them to sign non-disclosure agreements, Emma Gill of MailOnline said.

She explained, "By definition, we'll never really know what conditions are imposed by non-disclosure agreements - but you can find templates for 'Relationship NDA's' online, and the law is there to protect your reputation and prevent confidential information about you being used for someone else's personal gain."

She added, "NDA's have a toxic vibe, but an honest conversation among mature adults is always sensible and using a lawyer to capture that can give both sides comfort as their relationship progresses."

"These days, when so much is shared in public, shrewd millennials are also keen to set boundaries and expectations for social media, not to mention more intimate material, and a pre-nup will now often specify how photos or videos have to be deleted or returned along with the keys to the house or car," she further said.

Harry Styles Only Have Nice Things to Say About Swift

Majority of her exes never tried to clear what happened when they were still with the legendary musician. Following an "almighty dispute" while on vacation, Harry Styles and Taylor Swift allegedly broke up, with the latter claiming the former kissed someone else.

However, the One Direction member and British musician has only had kind things to say about Swift.

Although he was reportedly subjected to some of Taylor Swift's harsh songs, one of her first boyfriends, Jake Gyllenhaal, stated he did not hold a grudge against the singer for expressing herself via her music.

Additionally, British actor Tom Hiddleston said to a journalist, "I would rather not talk about this if that's all right," in response to a question concerning his relationship with Swift.

The only person to discuss being embarrassed by Taylor in her song "Dear John" is John Mayer. He said it was "lousy" of Swift to do.

Conversely, in a series of tweets, superstar DJ and producer Calvin Harris also took aim at her; however, he quickly removed them and hasn't brought them up again.
