Rapper Trina is clearing the air that she's not beefing with Nicki Minaj even after their 2019 collaboration "BAPS."

Airing out her side in an interview with Carlos King, Trina revealed that it was her mother's death that had impacted her relationships and how she interacted with people.

"I haven't spoken to [Nicki] in a while," Trina admitted. "Probably a little bit over a year. Maybe longer ... Maybe like a year or two. And I mean after my mom [passed away] honestly, I didn't speak to a lot of people."

However, Trina added that when Minaj's father passed away in 2021, she reached out to her - "So, I think that was the last time."

In the interview, Trina also clarified her controversial 2023 declaration that Beyoncé is the Queen of Rap. The Barbz, Minaj's loyal followers and fans, believed it was a shade toward the "FTCU" rapper.

"I don't have no problems with her," Trina clarified before raving about Minaj's recent touring success. "Nicki's an amazing, beautiful person. She's an amazing, beautiful person and I always wish her the best. She's doing phenomenal. She's on a whole tour that's been sold out. You can't knock greatness and what somebody's doing. You can't erase the steps. You can't take away from that no matter what."

Trina added that her current state of mind is nothing but pride for Minaj, saying she deserves her success.

"My mind be on stuff like that. I'm just happy for you. You over here and I'm over here, but I'm just happy for you," Trina concluded.

Trina and Minaj's rumored feud came about when Trina declared in a HipHopDX interview that Beyonce is the Queen of Rap.

"Yeah, Beyoncé. Because she is the No. 1 female rapper when she does rap. There's no sleeping on the Queen," Trina confessed when asked who paved the way for female rap to flourish. "It's just one of those things, of course, it's the Queen Beyoncé, but when you hearing a song and it's rapping involved it's like, oh my God - it's more inspiration."

Backlash immediately ensued, but Trina was unfazed; she doubled down in an Instagram post about her stance, Vibe reported at the time.

"Beyonce is the Queen of rap (when she raps) and ALL genres of music when it comes to me go argue with the IRS or somebody else idc," Trina said in a now-deleted Instagram post. "And that's not up for debate over here. So run along and enjoy the rest of y'all day. (And make sure to clean behind y'all sofas before the New Year)."
