1917 director Sam Mendes is making four separate biopics of The Beatles, with Tom Holland and Timothée Chalamet as potential cast members.

Mendes, the famed British filmmaker who worked on hit films like Spectre and Skyfall, revealed his plans to create four biopics that would delve into the lives of the Fab Four - Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, John Lennon and George Harrison.

While the final details of the films have yet to be confirmed, a source told In Touch that the venture might welcome Chalamet and Holland on board.

"It's an open secret at Sony that they are dying to get the next Spider-Man off the ground with Tom Holland but that Tom is more hungry than ever to stretch his wings as an actor and branch out of the superhero space," said the insider. "Casting him as George or John would solve that problem and keep Tom 'in the family,' so to speak."

The source also disclosed the potential participation of the Wonka actor amid his popularity in the industry. Chalamet might reportedly be up to play a role in the biopics, but he has led the yet-to-be-released Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Allen White could reportedly receive an offer to play Starr's role, and it is highly likely he would accept the offer.

"This is the level of actor they're talking about, but none of these guys say yes to movies unless they can see the finished script, and that's the next task Sony faces - getting these movies written!" the source continued.

Lennon and Harrison's estates approved the projects after McCartney and Starr greenlit the project.

Before working on the biopics, Mendes said, "I'm honored to be telling the story of the greatest rock band of all time, and excited to challenge the notion of what constitutes a trip to the movies."

Meanwhile, the filmmaker's producing partner, Pippa Harris, added, "We intend this to be a uniquely thrilling, and epic cinematic experience: four films, told from four different perspectives which tell a single story about the most celebrated band of all time."

Several reports also surfaced, suggesting the actors who might also be considered for The Beatles members' roles. The list has included the names of Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson, Barry Keoghan and Charlie Rowe.
