As National Doughnut Day approaches, two country stars are going head-to-head to have the sweetest treat.

Jelly Roll is throwing his cowboy hat into the donut ring, partnering with Dunkin Donuts for a new campaign leading up to the sweet holiday on Friday, June 7. He follows Dolly Parton, who launched a new collection of donuts with Krispy Kreme last month.

In the new social media video, Jelly Roll takes viewers into his dressing room where he shared his love of donuts, while also sharing his multiple methods of dunking the popular breakfast chain's beloved baked goods into coffee.

"Aw, it's National Donut Day tomorrow? Ya'll called me just in time," he tells the camera.

The 39-year-old went on to reveal that jelly roll donuts are actually how he got his musical alias, saying that he was a huge fan of the treats growing up.

"Believe it or not, truth is, it's because of these little guys right here," the singer said in the video, opening up a fresh box of jelly-filled treats. "Growing up, doughnuts were truly my kryptonite. My mama used to tell me all the time I was so sweet, I could open up my own Dunkin'."

He shows off his "Bunny-Dunk" method, which is named after his wife, Bunnie Xo. He also shows off a much more aggressive approach with the "Nash Smash," which he looks at as a nod to his "Nashville Roots."

"Life's better with a little Jelly in it, baby," he finished, encouraging customers to attend Dunkin Donuts tomorrow for their National Doughnut Day promotion. The deal includes a free donut with the purchase of any beverage on June 7.

Parton, on the other hand, launched her own, original line of specialty donuts with Krispy Kreme, The Dolly Parton Southern Sweets Doughnut Collection. The "Jolene" singer's offerings include Dazzler doughnuts, Chocolate Crème Pie doughnuts, Peachy Keen Cobbler doughnuts, and Banana Puddin' Pie doughnuts.

"Having some of my very favorite southern flavors in one, unique doughnut collection from Krispy Kreme is so special to me," Parton said about the collection, People reports. "These doughnuts remind me of home. So, I'm excited for folks to share them with their own family and friends. They're pretty sweet, if I do say so myself!"

Parton's donuts are offered throughout retail locations like Walmart, Kroger, Food Lion, Publix, and Duane Read, along with Krispy Kreme stores and booths.

While the two country powerhouses race to have the most popular doughnut on Friday, the "Need a Favor" singer has been a longtime fan of the legend.

"Growing up in Tennessee Dolly Parton was right there next to Jesus, Lynyrd Skynyrd and College Football. Having an opportunity to just express my gratitude for everything Dolly did for my family, music and Tennessee was a blessing," Jelly Roll said when Parton released her Rockstar album.

Aside from her donut line, Parton has been keeping busy with some exciting new ventures. Her new Broadway musical, Hello, I'm Dolly!, is premiering in 2026, announced along with new Dolly wine and a hotel opening in Nashville.
