W.A.S.P.'s frontman Blackie Lawless shared his current health struggles, which he endures amid the band's European tour.

W.A.S.P. marked its 40th anniversary with a world tour, The 40th Never Stops World Tour 2023. The band is completing the European tour dates before it wraps up the leg on May 18 at Universidad Sports Hall in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Ahead of the North American leg, its frontman revealed his worrying health status to fans.

W.A.S.P.'s Frontman Blackie Lawless Reveals Injury Amid 2023 European Tour

On WASP Nation's website, Blackie Lawless - whose real name is Steven Duren - revealed that fans already knew something is physically wrong with him. He admitted to trying to hide it; however, the pain reportedly became overwhelming in the past months.

"For about the last 3 weeks I've been doing these European shows with a herniated disc in my lower back. For those out there thinking this is somehow age related, I assure it is not. It's been an ongoing situation stemming from when I broke my leg 10 years ago," he said.

The frontman revealed that he visited a doctor in Europe and underwent a simple procedure. After undergoing an MRI in a Berlin hospital, it was confirmed that he had a disc problem.

Blackie Lawless explained his health issue, saying that a disc pushes out a jelly-like substance that makes itself herniated. It then causes severe nerve pain while putting pressure on his spinal cord.

His MRI result reportedly showed that the little holes, where his nerve roots are, became extremely inflamed.

The singer then thought of having a series of spinal injections called epidurals. He already received two doses before traveling to Tampere Finland for the band's next show.

Although he is yet to fully recover, Blackie Lawless received an assurance from his doctors that he would be fine for W.A.S.P.'s US tour.
