Dakota Johnson 'SNL' Monologue
In Dakota Johnson's opening monologue, she made a jab on Donald Trump and praised Taylor Swift at the same time.
She reminisced the last time she hosted the Emmy-winning sketch show during its 40th anniversary special in 2015.
She showed a photo of herself surrounded by prominent people like George Lucas, Sarah Palin, and even Steven Spielberg.
Elsewhere in the photo was former President Donald Trump.
"And look who's sitting right behind me," she quipped. But despite zooming in on Trump, the camera zoomed in on Taylor Swift, who was also in attendance.
"Crazy to be standing so close to someone who would become the most powerful person in America," she said, which sent the room into a huge laugh and cheer.
Meanwhile, debate on Taylor Swift's relevance sparked on social media after the Dakota Johnson's praise.
Taylor Swift The Most Powerful Person in America?

"Beyond ridiculous. She has cultural cache, but no actual power," a user said.
"Why did Johnson have to go and say that? TS's ego and opinion of herself are already waaaay too big........and exhausting for most of us," another mentioned.
"So if Taylor Swift is the most powerful person in the world, she can stop our slow slide into WWIII," a fan told The Daily Mail.
"Oh no, Dakota. So wish youd steer clear of politics and political jabs. Its not a good look for you. I liked you better as a celebrity persona, a well photographed privileged public figure, and the occasional sub-actress. Thats all. Thats it!" another echoed.
"SNL will make fun of Trump at least once every episode this year with the election coming up. Biden, who has tripped and fallen many times and who cannot complete a full sentence will get a pass of course," one said.
However, some defended Taylor Swift's honor.
"She's the hardest working person as well but she's the woman with brain and talent so she's disrespected ... if she was a 50 year old man with 20 years old gf she would be admired," a fan commented.
"Dakota has a solid point, tho! She is!" another shared.
