After hinting at the impending release of her debut single, Kate Hudson is getting ready to show off her singing abilities to the world. The cover art for her first ever single has been released and it's giving!
The 44-year-old actress now turned singer, who is nominated for an Oscar, posted a sneak peek of her song Talk About Love on Instagram on Thursday along with the artwork that goes with it.
The celebrity, sitting in the driver's seat of a vintage car and waving a peace sign, looks lovely in the picture. She is wearing a fur coat.
She captioned the photo, saying, "Sneaky peeky, I'm beyond excited to put my first single Talk About Love into the world, Out January 30."
A few days prior, Kate had shared a collection of photos from the cover art shoot along with a behind-the-scenes video from her recording studio on social media, hinting at the next song.
The film showcases Goldie Hawn's daughter performing on a stage crowded with musicians, who are in the process of recording her long-awaited album.
"I have 26 songs," Hudson stated, chatting with E! News on the red carpet of the 2023 Critics' Choice Awards. We are reducing their numbers.
She added, "We're dwindling them down."
"It's just been a great, creative, completely immersive experience for me and something I had to get out and I'm getting it out!" she also said.
In December 2022, Kate revealed how the start of the COVID-19 pandemic got her moving on her musical aspirations, never thinking it must be too late.
"I had this thing [during] COVID ... Every time you're doing interviews, people are like, 'Do you have any regrets?' I go, 'I'm early 40s... not yet."
"But during COVID, I was like, 'You know, what am I doing?" she said during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
She continued, saying that although she had been writing songs since the age of 19, she had "never shared" them, citing this as one of her biggest regrets.
Given that Hudson was raised in a musical household, her impending musical debut should come as no surprise. From the 1960s to the early 1980s, her father, William Louis Hudson Jr., performed as a vocalist in The Hudson Brothers.
The group rose to fame in the 1970s as adolescent idols, going on tours with David Cassidy and the Osmonds and even having their own half-hour comedy show called The Hudson Brothers Razzle Dazzle Show from 1974 to 1975. Additionally, Kate's job has given her a stage on which to display her lovely voice.
