No matter what Kanye West does, the Yeezy founder and rapper just cannot be canceled.
Over the years, West - who legally changed his name to Ye - has sparked different controversies that pushed him down. However, regardless of the severity and weight of his statements, he has remained in the spotlight and still has his fans' support.
Why Kanye West Cannot Be Canceled Explained
From his stage interruptions to controversial antisemitic statements, West will reportedly never be canceled.
TMZ asked Bill Maher, The Game and Angela Yee if West would ever face a cancel culture ahead of the release of the media outlet's new documentary about the "Jesus Is King" rapper. They all said "no" due to different reasons.
According to Maher, other stars in Hollywood got canceled for much less horrible behavior than West.
"I'm against it," Maher said of West's antisemitic remarks. "I'm against rants against Jews or really any ethnic group. It's crazy. It's just interesting the way some people skate and some people get canceled for seemingly much less egregious infractions. And yet, some people do really amazingly bad things or say bad things and the angel of death just flies over their house."
Meanwhile, The Game shared that it was all about the hip-hop artist's mentality and his lack of fear of the possibility of being canceled.
Angela, on the other hand, said it would need West to commit a horrifying crime before the cancel culture could finally take him down.
"I don't think Kanye is cancelable at this point," Yee shared. "I feel like if he was going to get canceled, it would have happened, he would have to do something so ridiculous, so ridiculously illegal in order for that to happen.
West and cancel culture have been the topics online.
Previously, former CNN commentator Marc Lamont Hill posted on social media about how West's actions have been so dangerous and irresponsible.
As to why he has never been canceled, Washington Post's Robin Givhan wrote: "We respond as if we believe that fame is a preventive to terrible behavior, that those who know they're being watched will aim to be on their best behavior rather than using all that attention as an enticement to acting out."
