People Magazine reported that Toby Keith's family has been planning multiple celebrations to commemorate the life and legacy of the country music icon.
"The Covel Family is hosting a private funeral service for family, band and crew only in mid-February. A memorial service to honor Toby will be announced only on Keith's socials shortly," his family revealed.

In the past few days, Keith's family have been mourning. Her 38-year-old daughter Krystal took to Instagram to talk about his father's impact on her life.
"I am shattered. As great as he was in his career, he was so much greater as a dad and a husband and a Pop Pop. He was my hero," she wrote on Instagram. "I am so lucky to have had him and so grateful he got to walk me down the aisle and meet my babies."
Keith's dear friend, Blake Shelton, also took to social media to honor the late musician.
"Even though I knew about your battle these last few months I still never imagined this day. Anyone who knew you knows what I mean. You were the toughest man I ever met. Thank you brother for being a friend, a hero and an inspiration. There will never be another Toby Keith," he said in a tweet.
Toby Keith Death
Toby Keith died on Feb. 5, 2024, due to stomach cancer.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, the former NFL quarterback Brett Favre claimed that at the end he believed that Toby Keith was "just tired."
He did say that to me when we had our conversation, he said, 'Brett... whatever happens, I'm okay with it.'" he told the outlet.
Favre revealed that he would call the singer every three months to check on his condition, but it was only very late when he learned that he stopped treatment.
"He said, 'I quit chemo and it probably did more damage to me than the cancer did,'" Favre remembered. "And he said, 'I just hope I didn't quit it too late, but... I'm thankful I got a chance to play some shows. I finished them.'"
